Welcome! Every body has its own story of accidents, injuries, trials, and triumphs; its own likes and dislikes; and its own way of speaking. Some people feel excruciating pain, others feel none. Some are always hot, others are chronically cold. Some love the burn of an intense work-out, others feel tired even thinking about working out. Some crave touch, others don't want to be touched at all. Each person's body interprets the world in a different way based on personal history. There is no one right way to approach the body: you may find improvement through movement, meditation, or bodywork. Your body journeys with you your whole life: listen to it, love it, and take care of it.

I approach each person as an individual. I listen to what you say--and what your body says--to create a session that meets your treatment goals, whether it is to improve performance in a sport you love or simply to go on a walk, carry groceries, or get dressed in the morning. You may need different types of treatment at different times. I study bodywork from many perspectives and weave them into a session that addresses your discomfort and moves you past chronic pain. I have studied Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, Neurokinetic Therapy, Craniosacral Therapy, Zen Shiatsu, Tui Na, Swedish, Thai, and Reiki. The body is an interconnected web: your stiff ankle might be involved in your knee pain, your C-section scar with your low back pain, or your tight shoulder could be causing your hip pain. I use Neurokinetic Therapy to assess patterns, apply soft tissue techniques, and help you find proper movement.

Some of the things I work with:
Muscular imbalances and muscular pain
Lower back pain
Sciatica
Knee pain
Ankle immobility and pain
Plantar fasciitis
Whiplash
Jaw pain
Headaches
Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, numbness, tingling, or weakness in the arm or hand
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
Elbow and wrist pain, including tennis elbow
Shin splints
Scar tissue
Postural imbalances
Shoulder pain and immobility, rotator cuff injury, frozen shoulder
Neck stiffness and pain
Incontinence or painful elimination, including exercise-induced
...and more!

**If you have an acute injury or accident or have recently had surgery, see your medical doctor or physical therapist to receive the proper treatment. If I am not able to treat your condition, I will refer you to someone who can.
